E.C Kim's R/C car driving technique part 2

Hello drivers !
Today driving technique talk about

"What different R/C car and real cars racing line"

We need to last review of Racing line talk first.

Why do use more track out side ?
Here, What's different Real racing, R/C Racing. 

First,

1. Track width more narrow to real car track.

Real car track width is narrow than R/C track. 

It's 2014 ISTC track width.

But track scale is not accurate
1/10 or 1/8 scales.

almost R/C car track width is over the scales.
Use out side track, distance is greater than the loss of fast gains.

2.Power to weight ratio and tire traction.

This video is battle to 1/8 scale R/C, Lamborghini.

Power weight per horsepower than is available 
because of a super car out more.

R/C car drive not the parking lot,

E.C Kim's R/C car driving technique part 1

Today talking about is 
"How to fast drive my R/C Touring cars"




outdoor and indoor tracks

Everybody want and think about fast drive on the tracks.
I talk to basic "Racing Line"



If i do hair pin or every turns,

Looks that image line is best.
out - in - out

It is basic and every cornering solution.




We do fast speed and made short line than any competitors.

Green line is shortest line, But can't make a fast speed.

Yellow line is wider line, speed do fast, But very long distance run.


Start cornering

 1. Keep speed on Yellow line.
2. Slow down(braking) in to the green line.
3. touching "Apex" start acceleration.
4. Go out side Yellow line (keep your speed)




We need to know with racing lines above.

"How turning radius of my car"

Then is the handle of the transmitter to one break,

Try squeezing the throttle got very little.

You can then check the 360 road car to draw a circle.
Pull the throttle a little more here, a 360-degree circle will be larger.
( 4WD car based, on 2WD car can be spin)


Don't do track, Try to parking lot !!


Draw a circle the size of the vehicle must be able to be controlled by training freely.

will run a Racing line.

HB<>HPI PRO 5 Car Kit Review

Today show to build HB PRO5 Car Kit.

First, Put on a glue to carbon parts
make sure more strong of when you
damage a car more safety.


No.1 Bulkhead's



※Important
Right 3x4 screw is only one in kit.
It's for under the center motor mount screw.


Battery stopper.


After make center shaft with belt parts,
put this parts !


No.2 Diff parts.

Put on bearing oil every Bearing parts.



Diff case and spool parts.


I do next race is blinky stock class,
change a more smaller spur gear :)
(Kit include 64P 116T)


You must be find
3x5 screws , 3x6 screws
3x5 screw for spur gear mounting.

Done !



Front pully at put on the spool
Must be use thread lock to screw!

It's bearing holder's


Rear diff parts.

Cut a remaining plastic parts of the
Every gears.

Don't forget this shim's !


Kit include 7000# oil.
But you should be change a
3~5000# oil works better !


I show diff positions
you can select different 5 positions
more higher or lower.

Some kit's little tight to suspension ball's

No.5 hub's and drive shaft.






Put on black grease every movement.


Include Carbon and plastic
hub and steering link.
normally use carbon + ALU steering link.

If you have too much high traction conditions,
will need plastic hubs & steering link. :)  



Slowly locking to screw.

※Don't do maximum locking here.


E part complete.


No.6 turnbuckles.


No tips.
Just hard work.. :(

Roll bar must be make moving free.

But after the H parts first make.

Put in a electro parts to chassis.



and make a shock !



I use 0.2mm shim at piston.
make a do not play piston at shaft.


Normal is 2 O-ring system.

How do think about E.C Kim's

1.Plastic parts is really high quality.
Don't need a additional processing.

2. Car feeling is in to the turn smoothly.
exit corner forward traction is quick response !
